Lift

Lift ! No.I'm not referring to a verb neither weighting lifting but a noun ,you guessed it right, the elevator .The vertical transport equipment that efficiently moves people or goods between floors of a building. Not a great topic to write but i found something interesting !
Be it in office or any other buildings,we all have experienced ourselves in lifts in our day to day life.
So, what is so interesting to write about it ? When ever we enter into a lift ,there are different kinds or categories of people in it.Few known & few unknown,of different age group and gender.I used to always wonder what might be running in their mind until they walk out of it.I usually keep staring at everyone in the lift and keep guessing about their thoughts. Most of them keep looking at the arrow mark right from the beginning till the end, few keep staring at others looking at their attire , few try to read the same posters or warning messages on the wall everyday ! and others look at each others foot wears and accessories etc,,,,,even if we meet a friend, we may hesitate to talk to them since we would be accompanied by strangers around.I have also come across ladies comparing each other right from hair style to sandals !We come across some funny incidents too like overloading; when the last person entering the lift would feel so embarrassed that even though he is lean, he would be forced to stand out and wait, pressing the wrong buttons in hurry and sometimes going out thinking that was the floor we opted for and again getting back. Also we might have thought "What if the lift stops suddenly ?" & laughed within.
But that 2-3 minutes of time spent in the lift is so interesting since we are out of every normal routine that we perform and various kinds of thoughts run in each and every individual's mind depending on the age group. Those thoughts would be so different from our normal thoughts that run in our mind even when we are alone.I tried to talk to few people after getting out of the lift and asked them what was it that was in their mind and most of them answered that they were thinking about the next scenario that they would come across ; be it their work, home or the person they would meet later or their daily to do's....
Those few minutes of silence , those special thoughts, those eye contacts with each other was something that made me write ....Well , next time when you are into the lift, do let me know your thoughts as well .. happy lifting wink emoticon

My First Poem

This was the first poem i wrote when i was in 5th grade. That was the time when i had just started learning hindi ; i laugh at it whenever i read now.....

"Nahi hai koi seema,
Sapt swaron se hai jama,
Raag taal se ki sangam se khula dil ka sama,
Kuch sur mila to hua dukh ki kshama....

Suni thi jab pehle to khil gaya tha man,
Nachne lagi thi hruday ki dhadkan,
Ye hai saare adbhuton se mehengi dhan,
Jiski nahi hai koi wajan....

Laakhon pranam jisne laya ise bhumandal,
Anth nahi iska jab tak na mit ta maanav kul,
Hoga dhun jab tak rahega hawa aur jal,
Yahi hai sangeet bagair mushkil har ek pal.....

I was crazzzzzy about music .That's how this poem came out.Later i realized how bad i was in hindi.!!!!

True differentiation is -----

Today I visited Ayyappa temple near my place. Before that have u heard about Jayamala's Shabarimala issue? Why are girls not allowed ? I dont understand. If this the case then why are we allowed to enter into ayyappa temples other than Shabarimala? Is rules not same everywhere ? "Women are making their mark in every field." Offcourse yes but why differentiation."Women not allowed inside a temple".Now , how does this sound. No action has been taken regarding this issue.
This is India and this is what we follow.Height of embarrassment......I wasted half an hour thinking what to type but felt ashamed of the practices that we are following. My fingers are not running.Really cant type anything more than this.

Happiness

One of the major necessities of all living beings.Ofcourse a necessity else what are we living for.? But the question is how do we get it ? Just look around you once. What do you see ? Then think is this what i wanted...are you satisfied ? According to me , happiness is not what you have acquired or what you are aming to acquire.I am saying this because , the reason for happiness today may not be the same tommorrow. For example , today You are happy by getting a new dress but tomorrow may be u are not if again u get a new dress. Why is this ? This is because of ur mood.In 24 hours , your mind might have got a new definition of happiness. Then how do we define it ? Well that depends on each and every individual and may or may not remain constant always and there are many ways to get it according to the respective definition.
According to me I can find happiness even when i am sad. That is nothing but the solution to my sadness.Happiness cannot be got.It can only be found if one really wishes to.Remember if you reallly want to be happy , no one can't stop you.

Emotions !!

"Emotions" without which no living thing exist or is it possible ? I dont think so.We also have heard about navarasas(nine kinds of aesthetics). But experiencing the combination of this is a superb feeling.I felt it just now.So thought of putting it here. Can one be happy as well as sad at the same time? It is possible when we hear a news which is good to some extent and equally bad as well. But this situation should be worst.I mean, the good part should be too good and the bad one should be too bad.The feeling that you get at that moment has no simile. This was only about happy and sad. These two emotions are very common ones. The combination of heoric and furious(raudra and veera rasa) is extraordinary. We might have seen in movies. But experiencing this in reality is very rare. These aesthetics exactly show our emotions or feelings and cannot be hidden easily.I cannot suggest anyone to try these things because it can only be felt and depicting becomes so difficult. But enjoy when you feel it as the mixture of different emotions strike without our knowledge.
